How to send your first invoice in 60 seconds
You just finished a project. The client is happy. Now you need to get paid. Here's how to send a professional invoice in under a minute.
Step 1: Sign in (10 seconds)
Go to coinvoice.app and click "Get started." Sign in with your Google account. That's it - no forms, no email verification, no "tell us about your business" wizard.
When you sign in for the first time, Coinvoice creates a sample invoice so you can see how everything works. You can edit it, delete it, or send it as-is.
Step 2: Create your invoice (30 seconds)
Click the blue "+" button or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd+I. You'll see the invoice editor:
- Pick a client from the dropdown (or add a new one inline)
- Add line items - description, quantity, unit price. Tax is calculated automatically
- Set the due date - defaults to Net 30, but you can change it
Everything auto-saves as you type. No "Save" button to forget.
Step 3: Send it (20 seconds)
Click "Send" in the top-right corner. Choose how:
- Email - Coinvoice sends a professional email with a PDF attachment and a "Pay Now" button
- Share link - copy a payment link and send it however you want (Slack, WhatsApp, text)
Your client gets a branded payment page where they can pay by card (Stripe) or PayPal. When they pay, you get a real-time notification.
What happens next
- Invoice viewed - you'll see when your client opens the invoice
- Payment received - your dashboard updates instantly. The invoice moves to "Paid"
- Overdue? - Coinvoice sends a polite reminder automatically
Tips for faster invoicing
- Voice-to-invoice: Tap the microphone icon and describe your invoice out loud. "Invoice Acme Corp for 10 hours of consulting at $150 per hour." Coinvoice creates the draft.
- Photo-to-invoice: Snap a photo of a quote, receipt, or handwritten note. OCR extracts the details into a draft.
- Duplicate: Already sent a similar invoice? Open it, click "Duplicate," and edit the copy.
That's it. Create, send, get paid. No bloat, no learning curve, no $30/mo subscription.
